What if I specifically need gas work carried out?
We're not the right fit if the job is gas work itself - that legally needs a Gas Safe registered engineer, and we'll point you to check the register rather than attempting it ourselves.

We're a good fit for the plumbing side of a job that touches an appliance's water connections, but not for the gas side of the same appliance.
What if my property has already flooded?
Active flood damage needing structural drying, dehumidification or insurance-managed restoration is a specialist flood-restoration job, not a plumbing repair, though we can fix the plumbing fault that caused it.
We can isolate a leak, repair a burst pipe, or fit flood-safe measures like non-return valves - genuinely relevant on flood-risk streets near the River Adur in Lancing and Shoreham-by-Sea, or the Ferring Rife around Ferring and Goring-by-Sea. But once a property has taken in water and needs structural drying, dehumidification equipment or insurance-managed restoration work, that's a specialist flood-restoration job, and we'd rather say so than take on remediation work outside our scope.
Is a listed building a fit for this service?
Listed buildings sometimes need heritage-specific consent for plumbing and heating alterations, and a specialist with direct listed-building experience is a better starting point.
Where a job involves visible alterations to a listed property - new pipe runs through original fabric, or changes to a historic heating system - listed building consent can apply on top of standard Building Regulations. If that's the situation, a specialist with direct listed-building experience is generally the better first call than a standard plumbing enquiry.
What if I need a fixed price with no one looking at the job first?
We're not the right fit for a job that needs a guaranteed fixed price with zero site visit, since many plumbing problems depend on details that aren't visible until someone's actually looked.
